Summer 2012 Swim Lessons
The Learn To Swim program is an American Red Cross program designed to teach all ages to swim and be safe around aquatic environments. The program is broken into seven levels, starting with water adjustment skills and advances to competitive stroke perfection. Water safety is stressed and taught to all students. All of our instructors are certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors.
*Classes are filled on a first come basis and spots are secured with payment. Lessons are available for ALL ages.
Registration must be done in person at the Aquatic Center (building 310 on the Daytona Campus.) We accept cash, checks, and VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. College cashiering policy requires all checks to have the driver's license number written on the check. Please use other forms of payment if this will be a problem. Thank you!
*Withdrawal for refund must be made no less than 3 business days prior to the first day of the lessons. A $10 refund fee will be charged.
**No refunds will be given on or after the first day the lesson begins.

Class Descriptions
Aquatic Exploration: 18mo-3yr
This program is designed for infants and toddlers to be introduced to the water and swimming in a fun, safe and loving environment. Children will be taught the fundamentals that form the basis for swimming and introduced to basic swimming skills.
*Parent accompaniment in the water is required. Children ages 3 and under must wear a swim diaper
Aquatic Adventure: 3-5yr
This program is designed for inexperienced children to be introduced to the water and swimming in a fun, safe and loving environment. Children will be taught the fundamentals that form the basis for swimming and introduced to basic swimming skills.
Aquatic Journey: 6-9yr
In this program, Journey kids are taught the fundamentals of swimming and basic water safety skills. Students are grouped by skill level with a student-teacher ratio not to exceed 5:1. This ratio provides a safe learning environment and fosters group interaction. If needed, students are provided flotation devices to aid in the learning process.
Aquatic Challenge: 9-17
The Aquatic Challenge offers seven levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Children are evaluated on the first day to determine their group placement. Students learn stroke techniques, proper breathing, personal water safety skills and methods of basic water rescue.
Adult Swimming: 18+yr
Adult Swimming focuses on making the swimmer more comfortable in the water. It also aids in learning the different strokes, and building up endurance.
