In January 2010, the Daytona Academic Support Center will have two locations: Bldg. 500 and Bldg. 210 (library).
Bldg. 500 will become the primary ASC for math, science, business, and VPI.
Bldg. 210 will become the primary ASC for reading, English, modern languages, humanities, education, behavioral and social sciences.
The ASC will move into the current Computer Commons in the library.The Commons will move to the second floor with computers and study tables surrounding the mezzanine. This ASC location will work in partnership with the new Writing Center scheduled to open in fall 2010. The Writing Center will be located adjacent to the library.

Director's Message
Welcome to the Academic Support Center and thank you for visiting our web site.
The Academic Support Center (ASC) provides learning assistance and support to Daytona State College classes. ASC services are designed to help students develop the educational skills and strategies essential for academic achievement and support the faculty through the delivery of supplemental learning resources critical to their curricula.
The ASC welcomes all Daytona State students and offers a variety of programs and services to maximize academic success. In addition to technology-mediated learning, the ASC offers peer and professional tutoring, online tutoring, and supplemental instruction, as well as the state funded Vocational Preparatory Program (VPI) and federally funded TRIO Student Support Services.
Each campus Center is a multimedia facility that is designed to supplement classroom teaching and learning activities. Together, the faculty and staff of the Academic Support Center are committed to enhancing your success as a Daytona State student and supporting the vitality of the learning community.
