There are a number of ways to receive credit for a foreign language at Daytona State . We offer APLE and CLEP exams in French, German, Italian and Spanish in Assessment Services.
You may also take a correspondence exam through Brigham Young University for Arabic, Mandarin(Chinese)and Russian and receive credit. To register for Arabic, Mandarin or Russian, you must go to the Brigham Young University website. Any other foreign language exam from Brigham Young University may be taken to satisfy the foreign language requirement for AA degrees at Daytona State (proficiency only-no credit awarded). You will be required to supply proctor information and pay the BYU fee for the exam on-line.
Daytona State uses the APLE Exam process for proctoring and acceptance of this exam for Daytona State College credit.
