
The Daytona State College L. Gale Lemerand Health, Wellness and Community Education Center which opened October 1997, is one of the finest, most comprehensive recreation and community education facilities in Florida. The Fitness Center, housed in the Lemerand Center, is located on the Daytona State Campus in building 310.
The 5,500 square-foot Fitness Center is completely equipped with, state-of-the-art weight training and aerobic equipment. The facility has a 19-piece Cybex resistance training circuit and 3.2 tons of free weights. There is a 31 piece aerobic arena featuring stair climbers, treadmills, eliptical trainers, spinning bikes, recumbent and stationary bikes, rowing machines, Airdynes and exercise equipment for the physically challenged. All staff members are AED, CPR and First Aid certified.
