Honors College

The Honors College at Daytona State College is a special place for special students! The Honors College is dedicated to providing students with a broad education that prepares them for a lifetime of learning. It offers students a small college experience with resources that are often limited to universities.

Members in good standing with the Honors College have the following rights:

If you want to know what students think about the Honors College, our Honors faculty and student ambassadors will be happy to meet with you to explain the program in detail, and answer all of your questions. Acceptance to the Honors College is competitive. For deadlines and requirements, refer to the current college catalog.

This handbook is updated every year, prior to the start of the Fall semester. All Honors College students are responsible for reading through the handbook each year and following the policies and procedures as they are listed. In certain instances, a student may be "grandfathered" regarding a particular policy if that policy received a substantial change after the student's first year in the Honors College. Refer to this handbook each semester before advising to ensure you are aware of your responsibilities.
