DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Sept. 17, 2010) – More than 25 candidates of upcoming local, state and federal elections are expected to be present during a Meet The Candidates event, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., on the Daytona Beach Campus.
Following the primaries on Aug. 24, 72 candidates were invited by the Daytona State College’s Student Government Association to bring their literature, their representatives and hopefully even themselves to a one-day event for students and the community to learn more about the issues.
Tables will be set-up in the Lenholt Student Center (bldg. 130) providing an arena for candidates and/or representatives to discuss the issues with their constituents.
In addition, a forum event will be held in the Theater Center (bldg. 220) from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. where federal and state candidates will be given the opportunity to present aspects of their campaign.
