Designed to be a fun and educational experience, the aquatic and athletic summer camps at Daytona State College offer a variety of week long camp opportunities for children aged 6 through 18.
Camp participants must be pre-registered. Pack a hearty lunch! Lunch time will be supervised and students will remain with their camps. Parents are welcome to volunteer or visit anytime.

Softball Camp
Learn the skills of the game while playing on the college's premier softball field. Offensive strategies, defensive skills and position play will be covered. Participants will learn to master the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, catching and base running. The clinic is hosted and staffed by the Daytona State Lady Falcon coaches and players. Scuba Camp
The first of three SCUBA camps starts Monday, June 8 at 9am in the L. Gale Lemerand Center's aquatic facility. Camp is for ages 12 through 18 and costs $150. Upon successful completion of this camp, participants will receive their lifetime SSI World Wide SCUBA certification. Instructors from Spruce Creek SCUBA will teach this week long camp consisting of classroom work, pool time, and five checkout dives at area springs. Participants must attend all classes and complete skill requirements to obtain certification. Textbooks, camp t-shirt, rental equipment and tanks will be provided. Students must provide their own mask, fins, snorkel and weight belt. A mandatory parent meeting must be attended prior to camp. For the June 8th camp, the meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th at 6:15pm. Start dates for the following two SCUBA camps are: Monday, July 13th (mandatory parent meeting-June 30th at 6:15pm), Monday, July 20th (mandatory parent meeting-June 30th at 6:15pm). Jr. Lifeguarding Camp
Receive an American Red Cross Community Water Safety and CPR certificate on successful completion of the Jr. Lifeguarding Camp, to be held Monday, July 6th-10th. Participants (aged 11-14) will learn water safety and rescue skills, basic first aid and CPR for infant, child and adult. Aspects of pool, waterpark and ocean lifeguarding will also be covered. The camp includes trip to Daytona Lagoon to shadow waterpark lifeguards and to the beach to learn more about ocean lifesaving and how the beach patrol operates. Aquatic Camp
For ages 9 through 14, the summer camp program concludes with a week long Aquatics camp, starting Monday, August 10th at 9am. Participants will learn valuable skills such as lifeguarding, water safety, first aid and physical fitness. They will also enjoy activities such as, water polo and competitive swimming. The Aquatics Camp ends with a field trip to Daytona Lagoon on Friday, August 14th. Camp participants must be able to swim 25 yards and should bring with them a bathing suit, towel and dry change of clothes. Fee for this camp is $130.
